How to play Flood
Flood is a color flood puzzle in the spirit of the classic Flood-It. The board is a 12×12 grid of six paint colors, and you own the patch in the top-left corner.
- Pick a color: tap one of the six paint dabs, or tap any square on the board. Your patch turns that color.
- Grow: every square of that color touching your patch joins it, so each move your patch gets bigger.
- Finish: paint the whole board one color in as few moves as you can. The clock runs from your first move.
Par is the number of moves our solver needed. Match it and you're as good as a computer; beat it and you've out-painted one.
Today's puzzle is the same board for everyone, numbered from #1, and a new one starts every day at midnight UTC. Finish it and you land on today's board under a funny name picked for you, like Soggy Waffle, which you can change by swapping either word. Fewest moves wins, ties go to the faster round, and only your best round of the day counts. The trophy button shows the board, and it starts over at midnight UTC too.
New board gives you endless practice boards, which stay off today's board. On a keyboard, keys 1 to 6 pick the colors. Your best score on each puzzle is saved on your device.
